San Antonio-Based Selrico Services, Inc. Awarded Custodial Contact for Alamodome

SAN ANTONIO (June 2017) – San Antonio-based Selrico Services, Inc., has once again secured the bid for custodial management and supplemental conversion/labor services for the San Antonio Alamodome. Selrico has overseen the custodial management and supplemental conversion for the Alamodome since October 2015. The contract, awarded in May, is estimated at $1,197,000 per year and is a five-year agreement with one five-year option to extend.

Custodial services for the 65,000 seat, 1,500,000 sq.ft. facility include ensuring that the facility is kept clean, daily cleaning of the flooring and public spaces, making sure all 80 public restrooms are continuously stocked and maintained, and trash and recycling containers are repeatedly emptied and trash/recycling materials are disposed of in the appropriate facility compactors.

Conversion/supplemental labor refers to the provision of additional labor to augment city staff in the conversion or transition from one type of event to another, taking place at the Dome, and for any other special projects or maintenance and repair tasks in which supplemental labor may be required including the setup of chairs, tables, stages, scaffolding, and cleaning associated with setups, Special projects may include, but are not limited to, the installation/removal of the basketball court or goals, ice rink, or low-rise seating units.

In addition to a full-time Site Manager, Selrico will employ 10-full time daily custodians, and at times, hiring up to 400 temporary workers to service larger events such as Valero Alamo Bowl, Monster Jam, HEB Big League Weekend and large concerts.
